BUILDING SHARED PRESENCE
What happens when two bodies listen to each other through structure, when touch does not guide but suggests? This workshop is an invitation to inhabit shared presence from the sensitive architecture of the body: opening space in the spine, articulating the centers, and allowing something to organize itself from within, without haste. Movement arises from contact, but also from the emptiness between two directions, from the impulse not sought, from the inertia that finds us. We approach and move away like bodies in orbit, with no need to arrive anywhere, but open to the possibility that something —a suspension, a flight— may appear. A proposal for those who wish to dance from feeling, sustain themselves through listening, and explore movement as a state of relationship.

JESÚS ALONSO
Movement researcher and CI dancer. My work focuses on dance understood as an exploration of bodily sensations and the poetics of movement. Dance as research of movement that arises from the body’s internal listening and transforms into a way of being present, inhabiting space, and relating to others. I have participated as a teacher at Flow Festival in Warsaw, Mediterranea Contact Festival, Sicily Contact Retreat, and Innercore Festival in Portugal, and I teach regular CI classes and workshops in Madrid. Together with Sofia Calvarro, I form the contemporary dance company “La Buenisima”.
